Manchester United’s new coach Rubén Amorim has pledged his absolute commitment to the project at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese made the statement during his official presentation at the Club’s main bowl of Old Trafford.
“I will do EVERYTHING for the team. I will DEFEND my players if I have to all the time, against everybody.” Amorim said.
“That is a key point for me.
“I will try to do everything to put this club in the place that it BELONGS.I will do everything to win”. He added.
Amorim joined United from Sporting Lisbon after an official €11 million deal was agreed between the two clubs.
Following the sack of Erik Ten Hag, United appointed Ruud Van Nistelrooy as interim boss as cover before the imminent arrival of Amorim.
Nistelrooy won three out of the four games he took charge, while playing a draw against Chelsea.
Amorim is set to take charge of his first game against Ipswich Town in the Premier League to announce the arrival of a new era.
