Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed his conversation with his National team mate, Henry Onyekuru during his transfer from Serie A side Napoli to Galatasaray.

Onyekuru who has played alongside Victor Osimhen for the Super Eagles of Nigeria has also been in the good books of Turkish outfit Galatasaray.

The 27-year old Onyekuru who now ply his trade in the Saudi Pro league with Al-Fayha has played 54 competitive games while on three different loan moves to Galatasaray, scoring 20 goals advised the current African Footballer of the year on his move.

“When I first came to Galatasaray, I spoke to Henry Onyekuru.” Osimhen said.

“He told me, ‘When you go there and play a good match, the players will push you to the front of the stands to have fun with the fans.” He narrated.

‘There is an interesting culture at Galatasaray, you go to the front of the stands and ask them to shout, then you silence them by saying ‘Shh’ and you have fun with the stands by saying ‘1-2-3’. He added.

“These moments make the fans very happy. I think they deserve to be happy just like the players and I love that.” Osimhen concluded.

The 25-year old Osimhen has played six games while scoring six goals for the Turkish champions, a good result for the huge loan fee paid.

The former Lille and Wolfsburg man is currently with the National team where he scored the all important goal that confirmed Nigeria’s qualification to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco as they are also preparing for their last game of the qualifying series in Uyo on Monday.
