Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has set his sights on Osun and Oyo States as the party’s upcoming focus.

His comments came after Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s electoral victory in Ondo State, where Ganduje referred to the governor as a highly marketable candidate, expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his backing.

Speaking to reporters in Akure, the capital of Ondo, following Aiyedatiwa’s declaration as the winner, Ganduje stated, “This is a true representation of democracy in action. It is crucial that all key stakeholders, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), recognize that the election was conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner.”

He added, “There is a strong consensus that this election holds credibility; the electorate chose the APC for continuity, ensuring that no projects will be left unfinished.”

Ganduje emphasized Aiyedatiwa’s appeal, noting, “He was a candidate who resonated well with the public, and we effectively promoted him. We also extend our gratitude to Mr. President for his support.”

Looking to the future, he declared, “Our next targets will be Osun and Oyo States, and as you know, we have a proven track record of achieving our goals.”
