Chelsea captain Reece James has issued a statement after it was announced that the England right-back has suffered a new injury that will rule him out for weeks.

Recalled that James returned from a lengthy injury that sidelined him for more than a season without playing football.

The 24-year Old return under new boss Enzo Maresca and was not fit for 90 Minutes of football as the Argentine coach tried to manage his captains fitness.

But it has however been confirmed that James will be sidelined for weeks which has prompted him to send a message to his supporters and all the Chelsea faithfuls.

“Hello all, I hope and wish you’re all well. James said.

“This message is to the people that understand and have respect for what I’m going through. I appreciate you so much, your support and kind messages go further than you could ever imagine.

“And just to touch on me. I’m doing okay, been better and also been worse. Another challenge ahead accepted. Eventually I’ll come out on top. Against all odds.

“Lastly, I’d like to touch on the festive period coming, these times are tough for everyone! I wish you all a happy and peaceful festive season”. He added.
