The former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has once more appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with allegations of misappropriation of public funds.
Accompanied by his legal team, Bello arrived at the EFCC headquarters on Tuesday morning, driving himself in a black Hilux vehicle.
This latest visit follows the Supreme Court’s recent judgment dismissing cases brought by state governments challenging the constitutionality of the EFCC’s operations.
During a prior hearing on November 14, the EFCC requested an adjournment until November 27, citing the 30-day period stipulated for the summons issued to the former governor.
The specifics of Bello’s latest meeting with the EFCC are yet to be disclosed, as the matter remains under investigation.
