Manchester United recorded their first win under new manager Rubén Amorim against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, thanks to a brace from Rasmus Hojland and Argentine star Alejandro Gernacho.

United took the lead through Gernacho in the early seconds of the game after goalkeeper Haikin.

The goalkeeper was robbed of the ball by Rasmus Hojland who chased a back pass for the ball to fall swiftly for the arriving Gernacho who tapped into an empty net.

The away side where fortunate to find the equalizer in the 19th minute through Evjen and took the lead four minutes later.

Hojland who made the first goal scored his first of the night after Moroccan right-back Mazraoui who played as the right-sided centre-back in Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation located him from a short cross.

The Norwegian striker controlled with his favourite left foot before taking a half volley with his right to gift his side the needed equalizer before the break.

Long term absentee Malacia made his return to the starting Lineup while Mason Mount was also given his first start under the Portuguese.

Luke Shaw was a second half substitute after replacing Lizandro Martinez to make his long awaited return to action.

Casemiro was also in action as a second half substitute while Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo who made a great impact also joined the frey.

United’s next game will be against Everton at Old Trafford as the quest for Amorim’s first domestic win continues.
