Premier League side Leicester City has appointed former Manchester United interim coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy following his departure as interim coach of the Old Trafford club.

Nistelrooy replaced Erik Ten Hag on a short term interim Managerial role and did expertly well which earned him a job at the King Power.

Leicester City were one of the victims during Van Nistelrooy’s reign at Manchester United after beating them twice with multiple goal margins.

United under Van Nistelrooy first defeated the Foxes 5-2 in the Carabao cup before beating them 3-0 in the league.

The Dutch tactician had an unbeaten stay as United coach, winning three matches with just a draw against Chelsea.

Leicester City made the announcement on Friday night of his appointment which will run until the summer of 2027.

“We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy as our new First Team Manager”. Leicester City statement reads.
