The Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT) in collaboration with Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), organises the Awareness Programme on Non-Power Applications of Nuclear Energy (APNANE-2024) at the Oil Lecture Hall Complex in Dibrugarh, Assam.

Marking a first for the North East Region, the event brought together medical practitioners, refinery professionals, university faculty, and enthusiastic school students from Dibrugarh on an interactive platform to exchange ideas with the scientists and engineers of DAE.

In the keynote address, Shri Pradip Mukherjee, Chief Executive, BRIT, highlighted the transformative applications of nuclear energy beyond power generation, focusing on applications of isotopes and radiation for the nation’s ‘wealth and prosperity.’

Interactive sessions, working model displays, and competitions like quizzes and essay writing engaged students and attendees, making the event both informative and inspiring.

In its PlatinumJubilee, DAE continues to deepen the awareness about the applications of atomic energy and build a brighter future through science and technology.
