Former Manchester United Star Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha ComM, commonly known as Nani has announced his retirement at the age of 38.

Nani joined United from Sporting for about £21m in June 2007 and went on to play 230 times for the club, scoring 41 goals.

The Portuguese winger left United in 2015 to return to Sporting Lisbon after spending eight years at United.

In his entire career as a professional football player, Nani has played 728 matches, scoring 152 goals with 169 assists.

Nani won one European championship, one UEFA Champions League, four Premier League titles, one FIFA Club world cup, four community shields, two FA EFL cups, three Portuguese cups and one Portuguese league cup in his illustrious career.
