Paul Ibe, the media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, of attempting to dismantle the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ibe claims that Wike is acting in the interest of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to undermine the PDP’s strength. He made these statements during an interview.

According to Ibe, Wike’s actions extend beyond the PDP, aiming to weaken other opposition parties as well, including the Labour Party (LP), portraying Wike as a pawn in a larger political strategy.

“I reiterate that efforts to restore the party from its precarious position are still underway. We’re all aware of the challenges facing the PDP, so it’s not appropriate to use the party as a point of reference,” Ibe remarked.

He further emphasized, “It is evident to Nigerians that the PDP has turned into a playground for the APC in their mission to dismantle opposition parties. This includes the Labour Party, with the FCT minister acting as their instrument. He has a clear agenda.”

Ibe continued, “His singular mission is to obliterate the PDP. It’s not about needing proof; it’s common knowledge at this point.”
