Super Eagles stand-in Captain William Troost-Ekong has fueled more speculations on the Chelsea’s chase for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen was a summer transfer target for Premier League side Chelsea but his huge wages hindered the transfer.
Ekong who has been a teammate to Victor Osimhen at the national team confirmed that the Napoli man who is on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray is a huge Chelsea supporter.
“I can tell you that Victor Osimhen is a Chelsea fan, I can confirm it”. Ekong said.
Speaking on his goal-scoring ability as well as his team spirit, Ekong was full of praise for the former Scudetto winner.
“He’s a great teammate, in front of the goal he can be very greedy, but he’s someone who speaks up for the team in the changing room, he’s a real leader and I’m sure he’ll be captain soon”. The former Watford man said.
