Senator Shehu Sani, the former representative of Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has addressed swirling rumors regarding the alleged death of Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to reports from various online news outlets, it was claimed that Yakubu passed away in London following a brief illness. These sources suggested that he went to bed in good health but later experienced a severe medical crisis, leading to his untimely death despite his family’s attempts to obtain prompt medical assistance.

In response to these rumors, Senator Sani took to social media to rule out such claims. He stated, “An online media outlet reported that the INEC Chair has died. I saw him yesterday dressed in white. Perhaps it’s a ghost.”
