The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has donated communication equipment to the Rivers State Police Command to enhance security in the region.
During the commissioning ceremony, NDDC Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku stated that the new communication tools would improve the police command’s performance and facilitate better intelligence sharing among stations within the state and the broader region.
He also mentioned that this initiative would be extended to the other eight commands in the Niger Delta region, thereby promoting peace and security.
The donated communication devices include walkie-talkies, transmitters, and solar gel batteries.
