Pastor Michael Ojo, a seasoned evangelist, shared a remarkable testimony about his first mentor, the late Prophet Timothy Oluwole Obadare, recounting how the revered man of God turned sand into fuel during a critical moment.

In an emotional reflection on his journey, Pastor Ojo recalled how he began working with Baba Obadare as an evangelist in 1981. “Prophet Obadare was my first mentor, and he poured so much into me. He was a great man of God, filled with wisdom and faith,” Pastor Ojo shared.

He went on to narrate an incident that left a lasting impression on him. “We were traveling to the north for a crusade, and our vehicle ran out of fuel. The driver told Baba, ‘We don’t have fuel in the car,’ but Baba, ever calm and confident, simply said, ‘Just keep going.'”

As the car began to jerk, the driver confessed, “I told you, Baba, there is no gas, no fuel.”

Pastor Ojo continued, “We were driving along an empty stretch of road, with nothing but bush on either side. Baba asked, ‘Is there any filling station around?’ The driver responded, ‘No.’ He then asked, ‘What do you see around?’ The driver pointed out a bricklayer nearby.”

Without hesitation, Baba Obadare instructed the driver, “Go to him and collect the sand he has.” The driver returned with buckets of sand, and Baba Obadare calmly instructed, “Take me to the tank and open the cover.”

“Baba prayed, ‘Lord, they are waiting for me. Turn this sand into fuel.’ He poured the sand into the vehicle’s fuel tank and said to the driver, ‘Crank the engine.'”

To the amazement of all, the engine started, and the vehicle continued its journey to the north and back to Akure in the south, all powered by nothing but sand in the tank.

Pastor Ojo concluded, “That’s why I will never doubt miracles. Baba Obadare’s faith and the power of God knew no limits.”
