Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has received a two-game ban in the Coppa Italia and has been fined following a red card during his side’s win over fellow Serie A top-four contenders Atalanta on May 15th.
The Juventus Coach couldn’t control his temper during the final minutes of Wednesday’s Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta and it resulted in him getting a €5000 fine and a two-game ban.
Serie A sports judge ruled that he was officially to be given Allegri a two-match ban, which will be valid for Coppa Italia matches, as well as a €5,000 fine for misconduct.
This will mean the Italian tactician will still be allowed to be on the pitch in Juventus next Serie A match against Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Monday, May 20.
It is possible though, that Juventus could decide to sack Allegri before that game as a result of his attitude and behavior during and after their Coppa Italia Final win.
It seemed that Allegri rejected compliments from club director Cristiano Giuntoli and even threatened a newspaper editor after the match which made the Club board consider the possibility of sacking him even before the end of the season.
The club is currently on pace for a top-four finish, which will see them qualify for Champions League football next season.
