In a surprising turn of events, Juventus has decided to part ways with Massimiliano Allegri just two days after he guided the team to victory in the Italian Cup.

Despite securing a 1-0 win against Atlanta in Rome, Allegri’s outburst towards match officials and the sporting director during the celebrations resulted in his dismissal from the touchline and subsequent investigation by the Italian Football Federation’s disciplinary tribunal.

They Issued a Statement that read, “The dismissal follows certain behaviors during and after the Italian Cup final which the club deemed incompatible with the values of Juventus and with the behavior that those who represent it must adopt The company wishes Massimiliano Allegri good luck in his future projects,”.

On Friday, Juventus officially confirmed the departure of Allegri from his role as the team’s manager. Allegri had previously held the position from 2014 to 2019, enjoying immense success with five consecutive Serie A titles, four Italian Cups, and two appearances in the Champions League final.

After mutually agreeing to part ways at the end of the 2018-19 season, Allegri took a two-year hiatus before returning to Juventus as manager at the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign.

However, his second stint failed to replicate the achievements of his first, with the Italian Cup triumph on Wednesday being the only silverware attained during this period.

Rumors had already been circulating that Juventus was considering replacing Allegri with Bologna coach Thiago Motta in the upcoming summer.

However, the club’s decision to announce the managerial change with two matches remaining in the season suggests a sense of urgency.

Currently sitting in fourth place in Serie A, Juventus has struggled in recent league matches, collecting only 15 points from their last 15 outings.

Their Monday night’s clash against Bologna holds significant importance, as both teams are tied on 67 points and have already secured qualification for the revamped Champions League next season.
