Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma, also known by her screen name Carolyna Hutchings, has strongly refuted recent claims made by singer Oritsefemi that she was “legally married” to the late Tagbo Umeike, a close friend and associate of popular musician Davido.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Oritsefemi alleged that Caroline had been married to Tagbo and had an affair with him. He further blamed his troubled marriage to Nabila Fash on Caroline, asserting that she influenced his wife into marrying him because of his financial status.

However, Caroline has stepped forward to set the record straight. Through her publicist, she issued a formal disclaimer, emphasizing that her only marriage was to her ex-husband, Musa Danjuma, who is the father of her children.
“For clarification, the only man Dr. Carolyna Danjuma Hutchings has ever been married to and has children with is her ex-husband, Chief Barrister Musa Danjuma,” the statement clearly noted.

Caroline expressed her disappointment over the unfounded claims, stressing the importance of addressing misinformation.

“Finally, our legal team, in view of these despicable claims made by a said Oritsefemi against our focused and amiable client, Dr. Carolyna Danjuma Hutchings, will be taking legal actions against Mr. Oritsefemi,” the statement read.
The legal team has called for substantial evidence to back Oritsefemi’s claims, including a civil marriage certificate and photographic proof.
“We are interested in the said civil marriage certificate and pictures, inclusive of all evidence to prove his claims beyond reasonable doubt, which he boldly made on a recent podcast show,” the statement added.
The controversy has drawn significant attention, with many in the entertainment industry and fans alike weighing in on the issue.
