Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, visited the party’s headquarters on Tuesday. There were reports suggesting that he was there to endorse Julius Abure as the party’s chairman. However, the media team has clarified that Obi’s visit was not about endorsing anyone.
During the visit, Abure mentioned that Obi had come to his office, and Obi himself also spoke about the same, emphasizing the importance of peace. The leaders of the NLC/TUC political arm, Titus Amba and Chris Uyot, who were informed about Obi’s travel plans, also met with him and discussed the same peace initiative.
Obi has repeatedly stated that his interest is to bring everyone together into a strong, united family, and not to support one person against another. In all his meetings with stakeholders, he has focused on maintaining peace and urged people not to lose sight of the goal, which is to free Nigerians from suffering and pain.
The Labour Party’s presidential candidate plans to continue meeting with critical stakeholders and groups to create an all-inclusive political family with a shared dream of rescuing Nigeria.
