Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed his appreciation for President Bola Tinubu’s strong policies aimed at revitalizing Nigeria’s growth.
During a conversation with journalists from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Fintiri commended the Tinubu administration for its decision to remove fuel subsidies, acknowledging that while unpopular, such a policy is necessary to motivate Nigerians to become more productive.
Speaking informally at the Government House in Dougire, Fintiri emphasized that relying on subsidies, including fuel subsidies, does not contribute to real progress.
He urged Nigerians to embrace these bold policies and recognize that they are essential for bringing about the transformative change needed in the country.
“Let’s just pray that these bold policies of the federal government yield desired effects because we need them,” he said, adding that such policies are the sorts of change that Nigeria needs
Fintiri acknowledged the criticism he has faced as the governor of Adamawa State, specifically regarding the recent demolition of the well-known Jimeta Shopping Complex to make way for a larger and improved version. He pointed out that attempts at change are often met with resistance and challenges.
The governor encouraged Nigerians to have faith in their leaders and support them in their endeavors to bring about positive change.
He emphasized that leaders have the best interests of the people at heart and need the necessary support to realize their vision of a better future.
