Lagos State, Nigeria, has taken a significant step toward empowering its youth through the X3M Tech initiative. Spearheaded by X3M Ideas, a creative agency, this program aims to equip young minds with essential tools and knowledge to thrive in our rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer of X3M Ideas, Mr. Steve Babaeko, lauded Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu’s educational policy, which resonates with global trends. The X3M Tech initiative was inaugurated at the Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School in Surulere, Lagos. This project reflects X3M Ideas’ commitment to corporate social responsibility, a tradition they’ve maintained for over 12 years.
The X3M Tech program focuses on three critical aspects of technology:
- Effective Writing: Communication skills are vital in today’s digital world. Students learn how to express themselves clearly and persuasively, a crucial skill for success.
- Web Development: Understanding web technologies is essential. Students delve into web design, coding, and user experience, preparing them for the ever-expanding online landscape.
- Product Design: Creating tangible solutions requires a blend of creativity and technical know-how. Students explore product design principles, fostering innovation and critical thinking.
X3M Ideas recognizes excellence among students. Not less than 60 students from the school will benefit from the X3M Tech scheme. The ten best-performing students in this year’s training program will receive state-of-the-art laptops equipped with software and programs. These tools will facilitate their continued learning and skill development, ensuring they stay ahead in the digital race.
Addressing students, teachers, and stakeholders, Babaeko emphasized the significance of the X3M Tech initiative. It represents a milestone in X3M Ideas’ partnership with the Lagos State Government. For over a decade, they’ve championed educational interventions, shaping the future of the community.
Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s visionary education policies paved the way for initiatives like X3M Tech. His commitment to creating a future-forward educational landscape in Lagos deserves commendation. Additionally, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, played an instrumental role in constructing the facility where the launch took place. His dedication to improving educational infrastructure underscores unwavering support for Lagos’ youth.
X3M Tech isn’t just about learning technology; it’s about fostering innovation, creativity, and critical thinking. By investing in the education and technological empowerment of Lagos’ youth, we contribute not only to our community’s progress but also to Nigeria’s broader development.
