A Nigerian US based Doctor Hokehe Eko has launched a cutting-edge virtual clinic called Glow Pediatrics to assess children with autism in the United States. The virtual ADHD and autism evaluations are now accessible in Oklahoma, Georgia, and Maryland for kids aged 18 months to 10 years.
Eko started Glow Pediatrics as a groundbreaking pediatric integrative medicine practice, that focuses on a holistic, patient-centered approach to cater to the physical, emotional, and developmental requirements of children, as reported by Black Enterprise.
Eko said “If you have concerns about the possibility of autism, it is generally better to have your child evaluated sooner rather than later”
“Even if you choose not to enroll your child in therapy, understanding your child’s behavior and needs can go a long way toward knowing how to support them.”
Research indicates that autism assessments are crucial for children aged 18 months and older. Some kids might display subtle signs, while others may show more obvious indicators. Glow Pediatrics offers tailored virtual ADHD and autism evaluations lasting one to two hours for children aged 18 months to 10 years.
Once the patient is evaluated, the virtual clinic’s founder compiles a comprehensive report detailing her observations, diagnostic insights, and suggestions, which are reviewed in a subsequent appointment. Led by a respected physician, the clinic organizes weekly Glow Health Circles, providing patients with a supportive community and promoting responsibility on their health paths.
On her website she said “As a result of my experience, I am better able to differentiate between neuro-typical and neuro-atypical behaviors, and can also help identify if there are other factors at play, such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, intellectual delays, or other medical conditions”.
Eko is a board certified pediatrician , Founder and CEO of Glow Pediatrics, Graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada; University of North Florida, US; University of South Florida, US and Mom of three.
