The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that the Abia state Capital, Aba will be experiencing power outages for a 7-day period minimum.

According to a release signed by the management, Transmission Company of Nigeria, Aba, Abia state, the outage will occur daily from 9am to 5pm from Sunday, December 1, to Saturday, December 7, 2024.

“This is to inform you of a scheduled maintenance exercise by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on the Alaoji-Aba 132kV transmission line, taking place from 1st to 7th December 2024.

“The outage will occur daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, after which the power supply will be restored.

“During this period, some of our customers whose power is supplied from the national grid may witness interruptions in the power supply.

“However, Aba Power is working diligently to minimize the impact of this maintenance exercise on our esteemed customers.

“We kindly urge all customers to remain vigilant during this period and safeguard critical electrical infrastructure in your areas to deter vandalism.

“Aba Power remains committed to continuous improvement in service quality.

“Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.” The statement reads.
