Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has gifted a luxurious new Escalade jeep to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, in celebration of the monarch’s golden jubilee.

The grand birthday celebration took place on Thursday in Ile-Ife, attracting prominent dignitaries and traditional rulers.

Among the attendees were Osun State Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro, Osun House of Assembly Speaker Adewale Egbedun, former Speaker Timothy Owoeye, former Deputy Governor Grace Titi-Ponle, and Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

The event featured a vibrant atmosphere, highlighted by the attendance of notable traditional rulers, including the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Adesimbo Victor; Elegushi, Oba Saheed Ademola; Oniru of Lagos, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan; and Olowu-Kuta, Oba Abdul Hameed Oyelude, among many others.

In addition to the car gift, former Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, inaugurated the Ojaja Cinema within the Ojaja Arena as part of the festivities. Governor Adeleke also led the cake-cutting ceremony in honour of the Ooni.

The highlight of the celebration was undoubtedly the presentation of the brand new Escalade jeep to the Ooni of Ife, marking a significant moment in the monarch’s milestone birthday celebrations.
