Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has opened up about her deep admiration for veteran actor Ramsey Nouah, crediting him with the pivotal decision to leave her modeling career in America and relocate to Nigeria to pursue acting.
In a recent appearance on Hip TV’s Trending, hosted by KimOprah, Adunni revealed that it was Nouah’s encouragement that pushed her to take the leap and pursue her dreams in Nollywood.
“He [Ramsey Nouah] was the one who gave me confirmation to move to Nigeria,” she shared. “I met him before I came to Nigeria, and I told him what my goals and aspirations were. He gave me a very good pep talk, and I moved down.”
Despite moving to Nigeria in 2011, Adunni explained that she didn’t have the chance to work with the actor until much later. “Imagine from 2011 never getting to work with him… Then during a film festival, I saw him and exchanged pleasantries. The next day, I got a call from a producer, Chris, who told me, ‘Ramsey just cast you.’ I had goosebumps.”

Adunni Ade first made her Nollywood debut in 2013 with the Yoruba film You or I and has since starred in over 250 movies across both English and Yoruba language films.
