Julian Alvarez has put his name in the record books of Argentina after accepting a mega deal from Manchester City to Atletico Madrid.
Alvarez Becomes Second Most Expensive Argentine Footballer
As reported by both Fabriozio Romano and David Ornstein, Alvarez has agreed to sign a deal in principle for his transfer from Manchester City as he will ink up with fellow countryman, Diego Simeone.
Negotiations are complete for the deal pending some formalities as Alcaraz will sign a five-year deal at Atletico Madrid worth €95 million including possible add-ons.
This deal takes him to the second position in the most expensive footballer in Argentine history with just Midfielder Enzo Fernandez topping him.
Alvarez comes second as Gonzola Higuain and Di Maria sets makes the last two.
