Manchester United new coach Rubén Amorim has arrived at Manchester airport, reports markfschofield.

Amorim agreed a deal in principle for his transfer from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United on a permanent basis.

The deal was reportedly worth €11 million as he signed a three-year contract to remain at Old Trafford until 2027.

The 39-year old is set to replace Erik Ten Hag who was sacked a few weeks ago for his deputy Ruud Van Nistelrooy to take charge on an interim basis.

Dutch legend Nistelrooy took charge of United for four games and set the club on the pedestal for a return of the old time United after playing unbeaten in his four outings for the club.

Nistelrooy won three out of four games with a 1-1 draw against Chelsea after scoring eleven goals while conceding just three in the process.

Amorim will decide the fate of Nistelrooy in his first press conference after meeting with club hierarchies.
