Manchester United manager Rubén Amorim has singled out one of United’s best performers against Everton for personal praise.

United new boss Amorim recorded his first win in the domestic competition against Everton at Old Trafford thanks to a 4-0 scoreline.

Both Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee shared the four goals between them, while wing wizard Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes also shared the assists with two apiece.

Following weeks of criticism of the forward, Joshua Zirkzee was handed his first start in the league this season by Amorim and he paid back with scoring a brace.

The Portuguese tactician was pleased with the forward who at some point was questioned on his credibility to represent Manchester United.

“I’m very happy to see Joshua Zirkzee scoring. He did a GREAT job”. Amorim on Zirkzee.

“Having that feeling, being hungry for goals is everything for some players”. He added.

The last time Zirkzee found the back of the net was in July during his debut against Fulham and has since been on goal drought.

The win against Everton will be like a morale booster as United prepare to travel to London to face Arsenal at the Emirates.
