Anambra Water Fountain Replenished with Traditional Vessels in Sustainable Gesture.

A video now circulating on social media shows a man using kegs to refill a water fountain located at Ochanja roundabout in Onitsha, Anambra State

The fountain was said to have been constructed in March when Governor Charles Soludo transformed it from a refuse dump site.

Sharing the video on X.com on Monday, Chude Nnamdi, tweeting as #chude_, wrote, “Water fountain is one of the most difficult structures to maintain especially in a country where there’s no steady electricity.

“When Soludo embarked on building this Water Fountain at the Ochanja Roundabout, many of us pointed this out. Now, take a look at the mediocre project after a few months of commissioning

“One simple flyover on that axis would have been better and beneficial to the people.”

Commenting, DonRitzy tweeting as #arinzeumez wrote, “Wait till they return the water fountain to refuse dump. I’m sure it will happen soonest. Once that ochanja flood dump refuse there and if govt didn’t hurriedly remove the refuse, trust my Onitsha ochanja people.”
