The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that another pilgrim has died in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team shared this news on Sunday, June 9, 2024. The board’s Executive Chairman, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, stated that the deceased, Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area, passed away after a short illness.
Governor Nasir Idris expressed his sadness over the death, praying to Allah to forgive Abdullahi’s sins and grant him paradise. He also offered his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, encouraging them and other Kebbi pilgrims to accept God’s will with faith.
The chairman mentioned that Abubakar Abdullahi was buried according to Islamic rites at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) after a funeral prayer on Friday. This marks the second recent loss for the Kebbi pilgrims; Tawalkatu Busare Alako from Jega Local Government Area also passed away on May 27, 2024, following a similar brief illness.
The board has extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and all Kebbi pilgrims, praying for peace and eternal rest for their souls​
