As citizens of Sokoto State head to the polls to select their representatives across 23 local government areas, Isa Sadiq Acida, the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his approval of the electoral proceedings thus far.
After casting his ballot at his polling station in Acida Town, he conveyed his satisfaction with the organization of the state’s electoral committee. Acida highlighted the impressive voter turnout in the local government area, noting that many individuals participated eagerly in the voting process.
“I am truly impressed by the arrangements made by the electoral commission, and it’s evident that everything is proceeding smoothly, particularly in this local government,” he remarked.
Acida expressed faith in the party’s candidates securing victories, crediting their expected success to the commendable performance of the state governor. “Given our governor’s leadership and achievements, I believe we are headed for success in these elections.”
The state’s Commissioner for Information, Sambo Bello Danchadi, also praised the residents for their peaceful behavior during the voting process. He urged security personnel to maintain vigilance and professionalism to ensure the elections continue to run seamlessly.
Abbah Isa Acida, the APC chairmanship candidate for Wurno Local Government, also commended the high voter turnout. He shared his optimism about winning the election and emphasized that, if elected, he would prioritize the implementation of policies that serve the community’s interests.
