Felix Morka, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has responded to allegations from Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, asserting that the APC is preoccupied with governing the nation rather than orchestrating a crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement released on Friday, Morka addressed the claims made by Governor Mohammed, who suggested that the discord within the PDP was a result of APC’s interference.
Morka emphasized that instead of blaming the APC for the PDP’s ongoing struggles, Governor Mohammed and his associates should take a moment for introspection and seek solutions from within their party. He suggested that if they are unable to do so, they should consider stepping back entirely to avoid further complications for the nation.
He critiqued the PDP’s inability to manage its internal affairs, questioning its capacity to govern Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation.
Morka stated, “Crisis is a recurring theme within the PDP, and dysfunction is ingrained in its very framework. The party is solely responsible for the persistent turmoil it faces.”
He further asserted, “A party that cannot effectively manage its own internal dynamics certainly cannot be entrusted with the significant responsibility of leading Nigeria.”
The APC spokesperson pointed out that the PDP has a history of leadership conflicts that date back even before the establishment of the APC.
He described the main opposition party as a “cesspool of corruption, chaos, and dysfunction,” insisting that these issues are unrelated to the actions of the APC.
Morka concluded, “Governor Mohammed seems either unaware of his party’s historical challenges or is intentionally misrepresenting that history for his own purposes.”
