The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s assertions that his party will diminish the APC’s vote count in Kano during the upcoming 2027 elections, calling his remarks “political nonsense.”
Prince Abdullahi Abbas, the chairman of the APC’s Kano state chapter, ridiculed Kwankwaso’s statements, advising him to “stop dreaming” and concentrate on mending his ties with the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP).
Abbas characterized Kwankwaso as a “political refugee,” claiming that he has become a nomad in the political arena after being ousted from the NNPP due to his “lack of direction and self-serving attitude.”
The APC has reassured its supporters of its determination to reclaim control of Kano State and free its citizens from what they describe as Kwankwaso’s undue influence. Additionally, the party warned against any recurrence of the alleged “vote manipulation and allocation” that marred the 2023 general elections.
In response to Kwankwaso’s assertion that the NNPP would strive to restrict the APC’s votes to under 15,000 in Kano by 2027, the APC has dismissed this claim as nothing more than empty rhetoric.
