The national leadership of the APC Youth League (AYL) has officially launched its Imo State chapter, tasked with spearheading a vigorous campaign to increase APC membership in the state and across the Southeast region.

During the inauguration ceremony held in Owerri, Olamide Lawal, the National President of AYL, urged the newly appointed state executives, led by Promise Okolie, to exemplify the party’s values and effectively communicate its manifesto throughout every corner of Imo State. He emphasized that their inauguration signifies a commitment to public service.

Lawal highlighted the group’s mission to promote youth involvement in politics through educational initiatives, firmly stating that any acts of sabotage from executive members would not be tolerated.

He took the opportunity to commend State Governor Hope Uzodinma for his efforts in advancing youth and infrastructural development, reaffirming their loyalty to his leadership.

The Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Emeka Mandela, who served as the special guest at the event, encouraged the state chapter to maintain good conduct and adhere to the group’s principles. He remarked on Governor Uzodinma’s noteworthy accomplishments in fostering unity within the ruling party, given his role as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum.

In his acceptance address, the newly appointed State Coordinator of the APC Youth League, Okolie, pledged to enhance the group’s mission in Imo State and the Southeast at large. He expressed determination to create a strong platform for promoting developmental leadership and committed to collaborating closely with his fellow team members to realize the group’s vision.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of membership certificates to the newly inaugurated state executive members, marking a significant milestone in their journey.
