The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced its full readiness to participate in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for Saturday in Benue State.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Makurdi, Mr. Edward Akpen, the party’s Deputy National Chairman, shared that APGA is presenting six candidates for the election.

“Our party is well-prepared for the elections; we have six candidates running under the APGA banner, with three of them vying for chairmanship positions,” Akpen stated.

While expressing some reservations about the electoral process leading up to the elections, he affirmed confidence in the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC), emphasizing that the true power lies with the voters who will come out to cast their ballots.

“With God’s blessing, we anticipate a peaceful election, and we trust that the people will choose candidates who align with their preferences,” he added.
