Chief Chekwas Okorie, the founder and chairman of the board of trustees for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has called on Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, to officially inaugurate the chairmen and councillors-elect backed by APGA under the leadership of Chief Edozie Njoku as national chairman.

In his statement released in Abuja yesterday, Okorie emphasized that the governor’s action to swear in the newly elected council officials from Njoku’s faction would align with the stipulations outlined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as the Electoral Act.

He urged Soludo to reaffirm his commitment to the party and adhere to the rule of law as mandated by his oath of office, suggesting that this course of action is the honorable path for the governor to take.

Okorie also conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the party’s victorious candidates, praising their success on behalf of the APGA Board of Trustees.

He expressed admiration for the efforts of National Chairman Chief Edozie Njoku, stating, “I commend him for his leadership during the intense campaigning of our candidates, which has culminated in this significant victory.”
