In a tragic turn of events, armed robbers launched a brutal attack on a factory in the Sagamu area of Ogun State in the early hours of today.
The armed gang stormed the premises, intent on robbing the factory, but their plans were thwarted when two of the criminals were apprehended by local security forces.
Unfortunately, the security guard on duty at the time was shot dead by the robbers during the attack. The identity of the guard is yet to be disclosed, but his death has sent shockwaves through the local community, leaving residents in mourning.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing the robbers flee the scene. While two of the culprits were caught by the police, the rest managed to escape and are currently at large. Authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The Ogun State Police Command has assured the public that they are doing everything possible to bring the remaining robbers to justice. They have also called on residents of the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
