The night was serene and conducive as Arsenal players were awarded in their best season after the departure of legendary Arsene Wenger.

Mikel Arteta led the Gunners to a second placed finish with some scintillating performance from across the board.

David Raya was awarded as the PFA Goalkeeper of the year, recognizing his influence in goal as the Gunners finished behind only Manchester City.

Aside from Raya, Gabriel, Saliba, Ordegaard and Rice also made the cut for the team of the season, making it five players from the team who finished second, having more than the eventual champions Manchester City.

The Champions had just four players in the team as Rodri, Walker, Haaland and player of the season Foden also made the team.

Aside from Arsenal and Manchester City who combined to produce nine players, Liverpool and Aston Villa also contributed to producing one player each.

Captain Virgil Van Dijk joined Walker, Saliba and Gabriel to make the back four, while Watkins who was very prolific in front of goal last season also joined Haaland and Foden up front.

A total of four teams were represented In the PFA Premier League team of the season as Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa all had representatives.
