Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta has hinted his concerns about over the lack of playing time for his loanee Raheem Sterling.

The England forward joined the Gunners in the summer on a season long-loan after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

The forward has been relegated to the bench as he lacks game time due to inconsistency in performances.

Arteta responded, saying it is a very difficult situation for the former Liverpool and Manchester City man.

“He had this very important role, impacting every game, and suddenly you are in this position for a while. Not just here but at Chelsea as well”. Arteta said.

“So it’s always very difficult and I feel a lot of sympathy for players when they are in this moment. Hopefully we can change it”. The Spaniard added.
