A tragic incident unfolded today in Asaba when a laundry woman was found murdered at a client’s residence. The victim, identified as Mrs. Ene, had gone to wash clothes for a client in the early hours of the morning.

According to preliminary reports from the Asaba Police Department, Mrs. Ene was discovered by neighbors who became suspicious after noticing unusual sounds coming from the client’s house. Upon entering the premises, they found Mrs. Ene’s lifeless body in a pool of blood.

Authorities suspect foul play as there were signs of struggle and the victim appeared to have been brutally assaulted.

The client, Mr. Kelechukwu, who had hired Mrs. Ene’s services, is currently being sought for questioning by the police. He was reportedly not present at the scene when the body was discovered. Mrs. Ene, aged 29, was well-regarded in the community for her diligent work as a laundry woman and her warm personality.

The police have urged anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Kelechukwu or any details that might assist in the investigation to come forward.
