Atalanta sporting director Luca Parcassi has spoken of his club’s desire to keep his most-priced asset beyond the summer.
Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman has been Atalanta’s best player of the 2023/24 season with his best game being the UEFA Europa League final.
The 26-year old scored a glorious hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen to gift his side a European silverware.
Despite serious interest from Saudi Arabia, Lookman in recent hours has been ever close to joining French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
The sporting Director said, “We are very calm because our idea, which is shared by the coach, the club and the owners, was for the first time in our history not to let important players leave,” he told SkySports
“All players belong to Atalanta and the club will decide what will be done based on what is best for the team.
“Unfortunately, these guys are too often given bad advice. The fact that the transfer window is open when the season starts makes it feel endless.”
