Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has praised Rivers State Governor Similayi Fubara, describing him as the “Moses of our time” for restoring the peace and glory of the oil-rich state.
Speaking through his aide, Hon. Dimeji Fabiyi, at an event marking the United Nations Day Against Women-based Violence in Port Harcourt, Atiku highlighted Fubara’s leadership as transformative and commended his efforts in eliminating the influence of political godfathers in Rivers State.
According to Atiku, “Governor Fubara is a manifestation of the prophecy of Moses, chosen to lead his people to peace and progress.”
He urged the people of Rivers State to support Fubara in his quest to uplift the state and solidify its status as the political capital of the South-South.
Atiku also praised women as agents of positive change and lauded the event’s organizers, Nice Esther For All Foundation, led by Mrs. Nice Alameyeseigha, for their advocacy against gender-based violence.
He emphasized the importance of empowering women for social reform.
Though unable to attend due to his birthday celebrations, Atiku sent a heartfelt message of gratitude to the foundation for its commitment to women and children’s development and pledged his unwavering support for their initiatives.
