Renowned singers Ayra Starr and Tems have been recognized as the most streamed Nigerian artists on Spotify. The global music streaming platform revealed this in its list of Nigeria’s top 30 tracks for the first half of 2024.
Ayra Starr’s prominence was marked by her collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on the track ‘Santa,’ which led the list. She also secured the second position with her solo hit ‘Comma.’ Tems followed closely, clinching the third spot with her track ‘Love Me Jeje.’
Other notable entries included Luciano and Omah Lay’s ‘Another Vibe’ in fourth place, while Burna Boy and Savage’s ‘Metro Booming Just Like Me’ ranked fifth. Tyla and Tems’s ‘No.1’ secured the sixth position.

Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, elaborated during a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, stating that “the list recognized Nigeria’s most listened-to tracks from outside the country between January 1 and June 30, 2024.”
