In a tragic incident that has shaken the academic community, Prof. Yusuf Saidu, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research, Innovation, and Development at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has been brutally killed by bandits. The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, confirmed this heartbreaking news in a statement released on Monday.

According to the university’s statement, Prof. Saidu was attacked and fatally shot by bandits while traveling from Sokoto to Kaduna. He was widely respected for his integrity, devotion to his profession, and unwavering courage.
