Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Chinwe has voiced her concerns over the current eviction process, urging Biggie to revoke the eviction powers held by the custodians and housemates.
Thepaan reports that this season’s rules grant any pair that wins the custodian challenge the authority to influence nominations and evictions. Additionally, housemates who are not in the bottom four occasionally get to vote for which pair should be evicted, depending on the contents of the custodian box.
In a conversation with fellow housemates on Monday, Chinwe expressed her frustration with the current eviction method, stating that it was stifling housemates’ ability to express themselves freely.
“There’s too much power in this house, so people cannot actually speak their minds. And that makes mad sense. The fact that we have to even walk in there [Diary room] to decide people’s fate is enough to calm you down,” Chinwe said.

She urged Biggie to consider changing the eviction method, suggesting that removing this power would allow housemates to express themselves without the fear of their peers voting them out.
“Biggie should scrap that method. Talk your talk. The fact that we have to decide people’s fate, you wouldn’t want to step on toes to avoid other housemates ganging up against you,” she added.
