Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has revealed he is grappling with suicidal thoughts following allegations of bribery leveled against him.
This comes after activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio clip in which Bobrisky purportedly offered N15 million to officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The alleged bribe was intended to quash money laundering charges against him and prevent his imprisonment at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.
Bobrisky has since denied the allegations, claiming the audio was fabricated. Despite his denial, the public backlash has weighed heavily on the cross-dresser, prompting him to reflect on suicide.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Bobrisky wrote, “I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it’s coming to my head, seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow human just in the name of bringing them down by force or because you don’t like them.”
He added, “I don’t need sympathy from anyone. People I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters, you won.”
Bobrisky’s emotional message has sparked conversations about mental health amid public scrutiny, as he faces ongoing accusations and personal turmoil.
