Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has vehemently denied claims of bribing officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to evade prison time.

This follows allegations made by popular influencer Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, who shared a voice recording on Tuesday night purportedly featuring Bobrisky.

In the recording, the crossdresser allegedly claimed to have paid N15 million to EFCC officials in exchange for dropping money laundering charges against him.

The recording also suggested that Bobrisky never served a day in prison after being sentenced to six months for naira mutilation in April 2024. Instead, Bobrisky reportedly claimed that his godfather arranged for him to serve his term in a lodge rather than a prison.

In response, Bobrisky took to Instagram to clear the air, dismissing the allegations as false. He wrote: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira and that I was never in prison. I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”

The crossdresser’s denial has sparked further reactions online, with fans and critics alike questioning the authenticity of the recording and the events surrounding Bobrisky’s prison sentence.
