Tragedy struck at Bright Academy School in Anambra State when a student, Henry Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, was reportedly beaten into a coma by his teacher over an alleged theft.

The incident, which occurred this morning, May 28, 2024, has led to the death of the young boy and sparked outrage within the community.

According to witnesses, the incident began when Henry was accused of stealing a bun from one of his classmates. The teacher, whose identity has not been disclosed, confronted Henry and allegedly resorted to physical punishment.
