American rapper Cardi B has expressed her support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s candidate for the upcoming United States presidential election. Cardi B had previously suggested that Harris should be the Democratic candidate after President Joe Biden debates with Republican candidate Donald Trump. She reacted with excitement to the news of Biden stepping down and endorsing Harris.
President Joe Biden officially stepped down as the Democratic Party candidate on Sunday, endorsing his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the party’s flagbearer.
Reacting on her X handle, Cardi B wrote: “Aha hahaha let’s go! I told y’all Kamala [Harris] was supposed to be the 2024 candidate… Stop f*ckin playin’ with me!”

In an interview with Rolling Stone in May, Cardi B had stated she would not vote in the November election if the major candidates remained incumbent President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
She explained her stance, saying she once viewed Trump as “a dire threat” but felt “layers and layers of disappointment” under Biden’s administration due to perceived domestic and foreign mismanagement.
