Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has raised alarm after being attacked by area boys during an event in Iju-Ishaga, Lagos State, on Sunday. The singer, known for his bold personality, shared his harrowing experience in a viral video that has since flooded social media.
Portable, visibly shaken and sporting injuries, recounted the events on his Instagram page, explaining that he had attended the event to celebrate with a friend who is a car dealer. However, what was meant to be a joyous occasion quickly turned sour when some attendees took offense to his behavior, leading to a violent altercation.
The singer revealed that he narrowly escaped the scene but lamented that several members of his crew were not as fortunate. He disclosed that during the chaos, his attackers made off with valuable items, including his expensive jewelry, an ATM card, and two iPhones belonging to one of his managers. Portable expressed deep concern for his missing crew members, urging the celebrant to intervene and recover the stolen items.
In a message written in pidgin, Portable narrated the incident, saying: “Wahala big palaba around Iju-Ishaga. We go celebrate with @lincon_orn who dey sell motor. Inside Adugbo wey we dey do show, na so all dis Egbon adugbo achieve us, ZEHNATION boys are still missing oo.”

He continued, “They attacked my boys after I escaped… @lincon_orn should help tell those Egbon adugbo to return @iam_sexyshay’s 2 iPhones and my ATM. We see @dullarboi’s phones and car but we still can’t find him.”
Portable further lamented the loss of his “ice chain and gold earring” despite his attempts to show love and generosity to those who attacked him. He questioned whether the people involved were truly fans or enemies.
The incident has left fans and followers of Portable shocked, as the singer had just recently celebrated the birth of his first child with Babyluv. The attack highlights the risks and dangers that celebrities can face, even when attempting to connect with their supporters in public settings.
