Veteran entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has suggested that the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), may be imminent. Charly Boy made this assertion while addressing concerns about perceived animosity towards Igbos from Northerners.

In a statement posted on X, Charly Boy also cautioned against actions by Igbo individuals that could hinder Kanu’s release. He emphasized, “I am not a Sowore fan but on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s right, he got it right.

Northerners can hate the Igbos all they want but they can Never Stop their Shine. To all the Saboteurs in Igbo land, there are people taking note, they see all that you scum bags do. For me, I am only waiting for the D day, cos I know it’s fast approaching. Dia Fathers.”
